TabPodsPrivacy policy

In short: the TabPods extension keeps your pods and their logins inside your browser. We have no servers, so none of it ever reaches us.
The only thing the extension sends out is a Pro license key, to our payment provider Lemon Squeezy, to activate it and check it once a week. There are no analytics, ads or trackers, in the extension or on this website.
Who we are
TabPods, the browser extension and the website tabpods.com, is made by Simone Perna, who is the data controller for the little data described below. Contact: smnprn.dev@gmail.com.
What the extension stores, and where
Everything below is stored by the browser, on your computer, in the extension's own storage or in the sites' own storage. It is never sent to us.

You are in control of this data: "Log out of everything" deletes a pod's cookies, deleting a pod deletes everything about it, and uninstalling TabPods deletes all of it. Because it never reaches us, we can't see, use, export or delete it for you.
What leaves your browser
Cookies go only where they belong
A pod's cookies are sent only to the websites that set them, exactly as the browser would do without TabPods. TabPods changes the requests of pod tabs only; your regular tabs are left alone.
Pro license checks
If you activate Pro, the extension contacts Lemon Squeezy's license service:
- when you activate: the license key and the browser label;
- about once a week: the license key and the activation ID, to check that the license is still valid (for example, that it wasn't refunded);
- when you remove the license from a browser: the license key and the activation ID, to free that activation.
Like any web request, these also reveal your IP address to Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy's answer includes details of the order, such as the buyer's name and email address; the extension doesn't keep them. The free plan never contacts Lemon Squeezy.
Buying Pro
Pro is sold by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record: it takes the payment, charges the right tax, sends the receipt and handles refunds. Your payment details go to Lemon Squeezy and its payment processors, never to us. Their handling of your data is described in Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy; Lemon Squeezy is based in the United States.
From Lemon Squeezy we receive the order details: your name, email address, country, what you bought, the amount and the license key. We use them to deliver and support your license, to handle refunds, and to keep the records tax law requires. Legal bases: the contract with you, and our legal obligations.
Contacting us and reporting bugs
If you email us, we use your address and message only to answer you, and delete them when they are no longer needed for that.
Bug reports and feature requests go to a public GitHub repository, smnprn/tabpods-feedback. Anything you write there is public and handled under GitHub's privacy statement. Please don't post cookies, passwords or other private data in an issue.
This website
tabpods.com uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts or fonts. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse, as described in Cloudflare's privacy policy. We don't keep visitor logs.
Installing from the stores
When you install TabPods from the Chrome Web Store or Microsoft Edge Add-ons, Google or Microsoft process data about the installation under their own privacy policies. They give us aggregate numbers only, such as how many people installed the extension.
What we don't do
- We don't sell, rent or share your data.
- We don't use it for advertising, profiling or creditworthiness.
- We don't run analytics or tracking, in the extension or on this website.
- The extension doesn't load code from the internet: everything it runs ships in the package you install.
TabPods' use of information received through the browser's extension APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws you can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you (in practice: order details and emails), to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. Write to smnprn.dev@gmail.com. You can also complain to a data protection authority, such as the Italian Garante per la protezione dei dati personali or the one where you live.
For data held by Lemon Squeezy, Cloudflare, GitHub, Google or Microsoft, you can also contact them directly.
Children
TabPods isn't meant for children under 16, and we don't knowingly receive their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top. If a change affects what the extension sends out, the extension's update notes will say so too.
